Dog-Friendly Stowe Mountain Lodge

If you’re heading to Vermont for a ski vacation with your canine companion, Stowe Mountain Lodge is one of the area hotels that welcomes dogs.  Set amid the natural beauty of New England, the luxury resort has 300 rooms and suites.



  • Dog‐friendly rooms are in the main hotel and exclude the Front Four accommodations and Mountain Cabins.
  • The maximum weight allowed is a total of 100 pounds.
  • Dogs may not be left alone in the guest room at any time.
  • All dogs must be on a leash at all times while on the hotel premises. Dogs are not permitted in the hotel restaurants, near the pool or pool deck, or in other public areas with the exception of arriving and departing through the main or upper lobbies.
  • A $125 non‐refundable fee is charged for all “Dog Guests.”

Pet-Friendly Aspen Ski Resort

If you’re heading to Aspen for some skiing or snowboarding this winter, The Little Nell is a luxury resort that welcomes pets.

A 5 Star and 5 Diamond hotel, The Little Nell has 52 guest rooms, 26 premium guest rooms, 8 suites and 6 signature suites.  Contemporary works of art offset her “Aspen Modern” plush, textured fabrics and palettes of cream, blue and chocolate.  All accommodations feature a unique floor plan and gas log fireplaces, and most have private balconies.

The Little Nell promises to pamper your four legged friend with luxury pet amenities. They’ll eat epicurean treats and enjoy selections from a special pet menu.  They’ll walk them, sit them and guide you to pet friendly trails. The hotel also supplies bowls and beds, and even a Puppy Jet Lag Kit to help them get used to the altitude in Aspen. Pets require an initial $125 cleaning fee, plus $25 per each night that they will be staying at the hotel.

Mountain Top VT

The Mountain Top Inn & Resort, Killington, Vermont.  Pet fee $30 per pet, per night; canine guests receive a dog bed, bowls for food and water and a delicious welcome treat, made in Milton, Vermont by Good Dog! Cookies.

The Inn at Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania. Pet fee $25 per room, per night; maximum of two pets per room.


The Little Nell, Aspen, Colorado.  An initial $125 pet fee, plus $25 per night; amenities include a personalized brass identification tag, bowls and beds, and even a Puppy Jet Lag Kit; epicurean treats and selections available from a special pet menu.

The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch, Colorado. $125 fee for the first three nights, and $25 per night for additional nights.

Snow King Resort Hotel and Grand View Lodge, Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  Pets are welcome at the Snow King Resort Hotel for an additional fee.

Westin Mammoth Lakes

Westin Monache Resort, Mammoth Lakes, California.  Amenities include Doggie Gift Bags and custom-designed luxurious dog beds with miniature Heavenly Bed duvets by Eloise Pet Accessories, plus other touches.  (During the summer, you can also take your dog on the Panorama Gondola, which allows dogs on leashes to travel to the 11,053 summit of Mammoth Mountain at no additional charge).
